Newsweek Adds Three Staffers, Including Executive Editor of Digital

NEW YORK, Oct. 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Newsweek, a premier weekly news magazine owned by IBT Media, today announced three new staff additions including Kevin Dolak, who joins as Executive Editor of Digital; Seung Lee, who joins as a technology reporter and Helen Russell, who joins as a production manager. Dolak and Russell will be based out of IBT Media's headquarters in New York City and Lee will be based in San Francisco.

"Newsweek continues to expand in depth and scope, making us fortunate enough to add some new voices to our newsroom and expand our already terrific design crew," said Jim Impoco, Editor in Chief of Newsweek. "We are particularly thrilled to welcome Kevin to the team as our inaugural homepage editor, Grant Burningham, transitions into his new role as Technology Editor and heads off to San Francisco."

As Executive Editor of Digital, Kevin Dolak will be responsible for coverage and growth efforts for Newsweek.com, including managing a team of web writers, overseeing the social media department, helping develop partnerships and expanding breaking news coverage. Dolak joins Newsweek from Vice Media, Inc., where he served as Managing Editor of Vice News, and has previously held positions at ABC News, theLondon Times and MTV.

Seung Lee joins as a technology reporter based in San Francisco. Lee previously worked at San Francisco Magazine and has also reported for Popular Science, VICE Motherboard and San Francisco Chronicle.

Helen Russell joins Newsweek's design team as production manager. She will work on magazine editions across all platforms including print and mobile. Russell has worked on production for a wide range of magazines, including People, Oprah, Smart Money and Shape.
